About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lodge Manager to join our family-oriented luxury safari lodge, set within a renowned Big Five reserve. As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless service delivery across all departments, and creating unforgettable high-end guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across all departments
- Lead, manage, and motivate staff, including training, performance management, and fostering a strong service-driven team culture
- Ensure exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure, handling feedback and resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Manage budgets, cost control and procurement to support the lodge’s profitability and sustainability
- Maintain high standards of lodge presentation, upkeep, health, safety, and compliance with all operational policies and procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in lodge management or senior hospitality operations within a luxury safari lodge environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop diverse teams
- Excellent guest relations skills with a strong focus on personalised, high-end service delivery
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a calm, hands-on approach in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for conservation, wildlife, and delivering authentic bush experiences in a remote environment
