About the Role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Commercial Litigator to join our dynamic legal team in Pietermaritzburg. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a portfolio of commercial litigation matters
- Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare opinions
- Represent clients in court and manage litigation processes
- Liaise with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders
- Ensure deadlines are met and matters are progressed efficiently
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney
- 2–4 years’ post-articles experience in commercial litigation
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure and court processes
- Excellent drafting skills (pleadings, motions, and legal opinions)
- Ability to manage matters independently from inception to completion
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
