About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Foreman to join our team at Route Management in Johannesburg. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality control, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all work in process in trailer repair workshop
- Ensure that housekeeping is done on a daily basis
- Provide excellent pre and post-sale service
- Evaluate the skills level of the production team
- Provide additional training to team where needed
- Manage labor hours on a daily basis as well as overtime
- Compiling of daily, weekly, monthly reports
- Evaluation of damaged trailers
- Quality control on the work being done throughout repair
- Material inspection daily liaising with stores to ensure proper material planning
- Maintain discipline on the floor and making sure that target is reached
- Ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
- Matric
- Bilingual
- Must be well acquainted with health and safety regulations and insure that it is practices accordingly
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the trailer manufacturing and repairs
- Minimum of 5 years experience in supervisory role
- Qualification in Trade (Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter) will be advantage
- Own transport
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge
- Experience in Hydraulics, airbrakes, air suspension.
