About the Role
The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail operations, including store management, marketing, operations, stock management, and sales. The successful candidate will have experience in managing a team, working in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- General Manager all GP Stores
- Required to work between all stores
- Repairs and Maintenance of Stores
- HR
• Interviewing candidates for potential store employees
• Signing of Contracts with new staff members
• Issuing of Warnings
• Resolving Issues with Managers and staff
• Commission Calculations
• Arranging for Suppliers to train staff on new or existing ranges
• Implementing new system to make things run more smoothly
- MARKETING
• Building up of a client database within the stores
• Liaising with Marketing department to coordinate marketing efforts
- Attending of events to sell products and market the brands
- Create a schedule of events to be attended throughout the year
- Coordinate marketing in store with online and social media marketing
- OPERATIONS
• Ensure all staff know the company procedures and polices
• Co-ordinating repairs of products for clothing, watches, sunglasses etc.
• Monitor all communications groups between staff and ensure all comply with the company polices
• Ensuring all store managers report a monthly check list for any issues in store that need to be fixed or replaced and ensure the list is attended to within the month or report to management if there is a delay
• Ensure all contractors used in store comply with the companies wishes and ensure they do what is required
• Oversee all contractors billing and ensure everything paid for is done and working and contractors are held accountable for any issues on their work
- STOCK
• Ensure managers are made accountable for stock takes or cycles counts done in store
• Ensure managers are made accountable for stock requisitions and IBT’s sent and received from stores
• Ensure managers are made accountable for all items being priced accurately against the system within the stores and that they confirm pricing is loaded on the system
• Ensure full accountability of stock takes or cycles counts of who is performing the counts of what section
• Ensure a monthly stock take is performed in all locations
• Ensure that daily cycle counts are done on smaller sections each day
• Stock aging report needs to be sent out monthly
• Stock fulfilment reports need to be done monthly on categories or items that are going to be out of stock
• Random spot checks in store to be done to audit actual counts preformed on store weekly
- SALES
• Set financial year budgets which is linked to budgets per store and per sales member.
• Monitor Sales Team’s targets and help staff members to the best of your ability reach their targets
• Report back any reason why sales team can’t meet their targets to management
• Training of Staff in Products/Selling/Processes
• Handled or ensure all Customer Queries/Stock Requests/Complaints are handled in a timely manner
• Authorising of discounts in store when discounts other than the system discounts are used.

- Knowledge and experience in sales of exclusive brands
