About the Role
A top-tier firm in the construction and project consulting industry is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for cost control, contracts, and construction to take on this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data for quantity calculations
- Prepare and review quantities, valuations, and schedules in accordance with industry standards
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- A degree in Quantity Surveying
- 2+ years of relevant experience in either a consulting or contracting environment
- Registered as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor (CanQS) and working towards PrQS
- Solid understanding of the industry, with flexibility around consulting and contractor-based experience
- Strong communication skills, with Afrikaans fluency
