Job Summary
Qualifications and Skills required:
- Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field (e.g., BCom, Accounting diploma, etc.).
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the education sector.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the financial administration of the school, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational financial policies and regulations.
- Administer payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Coordinate and oversee procurement processes, ensuring value for money and adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate with the school leadership team to develop financial strategies that support the institution’s educational goals.
- Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support the Head of School and Board of Governors with financial insights and recommendations.
