Job Description
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in operations management, or project management role
- Previous experience in dealing with customers is highly desirable
- Experience working within the construction, mining, or related sectors is an advantage but not essential
- Previous experience working within Africa is desirable but not a necessity
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on work ethic
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is strongly desired
- Comfortable relocating to Zambia and working in a multicultural environment
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working closely with clients to manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Supporting pricing, quotations, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
- Understanding market trends and competitor activity to position the company effectively.
- Overseeing daily operations and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within cost, and to specification.
- Coordinating equipment sourcing, supplier engagement, logistics, and delivery.
- Monitoring budgets, cashflow, expenses, and overall financial health of the business units you manage.
- Reporting to the executive management team.
