About the Role

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and strengthening the bank’s market presence by identifying and converting new business opportunities, while building and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires a strategic thinker who can translate market insights into actionable business plans, deliver tailored financial solutions, and foster long-term partnerships across key industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth by identifying, evaluating, and converting new opportunities across Corporate and Commercial banking segments.
  • Develop and execute market expansion strategies, informed by market research and competitor analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to support long-term growth and retention.
  • Deliver tailored financial solutions that create value for clients and strengthen the bank’s competitive position.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives, while monitoring performance, ensuring compliance, and contributing to a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Agriculture, Geology, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification (Honours, Master’s, MBA) or professional certifications such as CFA, CA, or CIMA will be advantageous.
  • Around 5–7 years’ experience in a senior or strategic business development role within financial services or related sectors.
  • Strong industry exposure to sectors such as agriculture, mining, engineering, oil & gas, or investment banking will be advantageous.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue growth.
