About the Role
The Picker is a permanent, full-time role responsible for accurately selecting and preparing goods for despatch in a fast-moving consumer goods environment. The successful candidate will be working in Amanzimtoti, Kwazulu-Natal.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately picking products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications and documentation.
- Verifying quantities and product codes to ensure order accuracy.
- Packing items securely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintaining tidiness and organisation within the picking area.
- Following all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Reporting any discrepancies, damaged goods, or stock issues to the supervisor.
- Using handheld scanning equipment or other technology to record order completion.
- Assisting with stock replenishment and inventory control as required.
- Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily order deadlines.
- Adhering to company policies regarding hygiene and product handling standards.
Requirements
Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Physical fitness to stand, walk, and lift items safely throughout the working day. Reliable timekeeping and attendance.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary education or equivalent is preferred.
