Job Description
- Structural Maintenance & Repair: Oversee the repair and inspection of shaft steelwork, conveyances, station steel, ore passes, chutes, and launders.
- Installation & Fabrication: Supervise the fabrication and installation of structural steel, including alignment of shaft guides, pipes, and brackets.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with site environmental policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of boilermakers, welders, and contractors, including conducting toolbox talks and performance management.
- Operational Planning: Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance tasks, including shutdown planning, to optimize equipment availability and reliability.
- Technical Oversight: Review engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure quality standards are met.
