About the Role
We are seeking a commercially astute People Partner to translate business strategy into impactful people and culture initiatives. This role combines strategic partnership with operational excellence, requiring a trusted advisor to senior leaders who can enable high-performing teams, strengthen organisational capability, and embed a robust performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executives and business leaders to translate organisational strategy into people strategy.
- Provide input into business planning, workforce planning, and organisational design.
- Lead and embed talent management practices including succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and critical skills development.
- Drive organisational development, culture, and change initiatives.
- Coach and support leaders on performance, engagement, and employee relations matters.
- Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant people practices.
- Lead workforce planning processes and apply people analytics to inform decision-making.
- Monitor key people metrics and identify trends and risks.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships and ensure high-quality HR service delivery in partnership with HR specialists.
- Support transformation and new ways of working through practical, business-aligned interventions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in HR, Organisational Development, or Leadership (advantageous).
- Professional HR accreditation such as SABPP or SHRM (preferred).
- 8–10 years’ HR experience, including 4–5 years in a senior HR Business Partner or strategic HR role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership teams.
- Proven track record in organisational change, performance management, and talent management.
- Strong understanding of labour law and employee relations within the South African context.
