A prestigious 5-star hotel in Hout Bay is seeking a professional, well-groomed, and highly experienced Butler to join our elite guest services team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised, discreet service to VIP and high-profile guests
Assist with unpacking, packing, laundry handling, and wardrobe management
Arrange private dining, spa bookings, excursions, and personal errands
Provide in-room F&B service including refreshments, turndown, and minibar checks
Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, concierge, and kitchen to ensure seamless guest experience
Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism and urgency
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of guest privacy
Maintain a clean, well-organised, and welcoming environment in suites and private areas
Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Butler or Guest Liaison in a 5-star hotel, lodge, or private household (essential)
Impeccable grooming, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations
Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
Trained in etiquette, protocol, and silver service
Discreet, reliable, and service-oriented
Physically fit, able to work long hours, including weekends and evenings
Driver’s licence and own transport (advantageous)
Knowledge of Cape Town / Hout Bay attractions and services (preferred)
