MACHINE OPERATOR – PRODUCTION
ABOUT THE JOB
The Machine operator will be responsible for following operative guidelines / SOPs in order to help produce products for the comapnie based on the bill of materials and instructions laid out by the Production Planner and as instructed via the Team Leader or Supervisor. Their duties include checking that machinery is correctly set up, cleaned and sanitised and available for production at all times, ensuring that safety protocols are followed on the assembly line, and troubleshooting any issues found during production involving the Maintenance Supervisor as necessary.

- Must have the ability to adopt practical approaches
- Must have Basic mechanical inclination and understanding
- Planning, organizing, follow up and feedback
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to multitask
- Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods
- Goal driven and Service Delivery should be your passion
- Good verbal communication, with English the main medium of communication and other South African an added advantage.
- Must show commitment – the position requires flexibility and after-hours availability when required
- Must be able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines.
THE HATS YOU MAY WEAR
- Investigator: able to identify problems/concerns with execution of a job and inform relevant parties
- Team player: Communicate between individuals within different departments positively and confidently to be able to carry out duties whilst keeping all needed parties informed
- Quality assurer: Consistently checks the detail and quality of every job they execute
- Focused: Able to finish jobs timeously and in full
WHAT OTHER DETAILS / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS MAKE OUR EYES LIGHT UP, YOU ASK?
- Grade 10 – Matric.
- Pneumatics experience advantageous.
- 1 years’ experience in a similar role (as an operator in the personal care industry) a preference.
- Experience in a Warehouse/Production environment, cosmetic machinery advantageous.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with high attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to maintain inhouse automation machinery (e.g. bottle filling machines etc) advantageous
