About the Role
We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Workshop Manager to oversee and optimise operations within our CNC machining workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, machine performance oversight, production quality control, workflow planning, and overall operational efficiency across 10 CNC machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing of Technical and CNC Programming
- Develop CNC programs from scratch using Mastercam and/or Fusion 360
- Load and test programs on CNC machines
- Run initial setup and first-off components
- Verify that first-off parts meet 100% dimensional and quality requirements
- Provide technical support and guidance to CNC operators
- Ensure correct tooling selection and application
- Conduct spot checks across all CNC machines
- Verify correct clamping and setup before production runs
- Assist with quality inspections and ensure compliance with specifications
- Identify and resolve machining or tooling issues proactively
Requirements
Proven experience in CNC machining and workshop supervision. Strong programming experience in Mastercam and/or Fusion 360. Solid understanding of CNC tooling and machining processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience overseeing multiple CNC machines simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
