About the Role
As an External Sales Representative for Solar at Staffing-Jet, you will play a crucial role in growing our customer base in Free State by identifying and approaching new potential solar system integrators and installers. You will also visit existing and potential customers regularly to understand their needs and present tailored product offers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach new potential solar system integrators and installers to grow the customer base in Free State
- Visit existing and potential customers regularly to understand needs and present tailored product offers
- Promote and sell company’s solar solutions (inverters, PV kits, Switchgear, Solar VSD and accessories)
- Work with pre-defined pricing, discount structure and product offerings to deliver quick quotations and close fast-cycle deals
- Follow up on quotes, pipeline opportunities, and convert leads into purchase orders
- Provide technical support and ensure customers receive correct documentation and installation materials
- Provide training sessions for new and existing customers regularly to ensure technical quality within the System Integrator network
- Keep records of customer visits, feedback, and actions taken and create sales reports
- Assist in organizing and participating in branch-level training sessions, product demos, and customer events
- Report on competitor activities, pricing trends, and market movements
- Participate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and assist with basic after-sales queries
- Support the launch of marketing campaigns by helping identify key customers or regional opportunities
Requirements
National Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Proven minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in external technical sales for solar
Good understanding of solar systems, especially in the C&I applications
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Result driven mindset with strong sense of accountability with recognition tied to performance
Goal-oriented and able to build a sales pipeline with discipline
