An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Research Assistant to join a leading private vascular surgery practice actively involved in national research initiatives and the development of the South African Vascular Surgery Registry (VASSA-SAVeR).

This position offers exposure to academic medicine, registry development, and clinical research within an established vascular unit, in close collaboration with the Vascular Society of Southern Africa (VASSA) and academic institutions.

Minimum requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Own vehicle
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (Strong proficiency)
• Bachelors or postgraduate degree in a health sciences, biostatistics, data science, or research-related field
• Familiarity with research methodology, referencing tools (e.g., EndNote, Mendeley), and spreadsheet software (Excel, REDCap advantageous)
• Previous research or clinical registry experience will be an advantage

Required skills:

• Strong data management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail

Remuneration:

R 10 000 Cost to Company
