About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise electrical operations across medium- and low-voltage projects in Boksburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing cross-functional technical teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee MV and LV electrical projects from planning through execution and commissioning.
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional technical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.
- Drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and cost-control initiatives.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Support, mentor, and develop technical and supervisory staff.
- Oversee quality control, testing, fault analysis, and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Medium Voltage Switchgear and Protection Systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Proven experience in Low Voltage Switchboard assemblies, building, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of MV & LV electrical infrastructure development, including overhead lines and underground cable systems.
- In-depth understanding of electrical safety regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Power).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience within a technical or electrical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Occupational Health & Safety.
Salary & Benefits
R400 000 – R500 000 p.a
