About the Role
The Health & Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with client specifications and legislation, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining safety records. The successful candidate will also be required to manage site administration and operations, oversee plant and equipment compliance, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health & safety leadership
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and legislation
- Conduct risk assessments and monitor control measures
- Maintain safety records and lead contractor compliance
- Manage materials, deliveries, and stock documentation
- Record labour timekeeping, attendance, and operator hours
- Oversee plant and equipment compliance, defects, and PPE management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Health & Safety, preferably in civils construction
- SACPCMP Registration (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Relevant Health & Safety certificates (First Aid, HIRA, FPPD, Legal Liability, etc.)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong understanding of SHE policies, legal compliance, and risk assessments
