About the Role
As an Assistant Manager: Maintenance at HR-Simplified Ltd, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, while also managing materials, labor, and contractors. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders will be essential in achieving this goal.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning
- Preparation of preventative maintenance schedules for all production equipment
- Planning of repairs to ensure lowest possible downtime of equipment
- Allocation of work to Maintenance Supervisor and outsourcing of work that cannot be done in house
- Requisitions for materials and suppliers to carry out maintenance and repairs
- Discussing work allocation and work in progress with Supervisor daily to ensure optimum equipment utilisation
- Maintaining history files on all equipment for preventive maintenance planning and critical spares holding
- Executing all activities on SAP PM module
- Working towards zero breakdown and production loss due to equipment
Requirements
- Grade 12 with maths
- Mechanical Engineer who is a graduate engineer or certified engineer
- Minimum time of 10 years of Maintenance experience of production equipment including hydraulics, cranes, boiler, compressor
- Minimum time of 5 years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic financial and administrative skills
- Microsoft Office
