About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in Brakpan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing: Internet-based activities, editorials, web-based and print media
  • Promote the recognition of the company, brand and products
  • Key account management and exports
  • Achievement of sales targets and increased customer satisfaction
  • Management of key accounts in various export countries including management of Sales Agents/Reps within these countries
  • Direct account responsibility for key customers including sales, technical assistance, customer visits and reports, customer satisfaction activeness, relationship building, queries and complaints
  • Group head office account management for various groups
  • Targets and Pricing Setting and meeting targets
  • Managing margins and promoting growth for the business
  • Maximisation of margins and increased profits
  • Manage margins and negotiable pricing strategy, country wide
  • Implement price increases as and when required
  • Meet financial goals linked to expense/travel budgets
  • Meet sales goals linked to sales budget as agreed with EXCO
  • Perform general management duties of the Sales Team
  • Sales leadership to the Internal and External Sales Team
  • Management of the Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth Branches
  • Manage relevant sales staff including but not limited to training, recruitment, performance management, providing guidance and direction
  • Attend meetings and various discussions relating to any areas of Sales
  • Liaising with other department, customers and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Grade 12 plus Tertiary Qualification in Sales and Marketing
  • 4-7 years related experience in a Technical Environment and/or within the chemical industry
  • Fluent in English & Afrikaans
  • Valid Drivers License is a must
