Job Description

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive Government Relations and External Affairs strategy
Monitor, analyse, and report on relevant legislation, regulatory developments, and policy changes
Build and maintain trusted relationships with government stakeholders, policymakers, and industry associations
Represent the company in industry forums, working groups, and public hearings
Provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements, policy developments, and potential risks
Manage the Government Relations budget and oversee engagement initiatives
Support crisis management and reputation management where government engagement is required
Contribute to localisation strategies, investment plans, and industry development initiatives
Ensure the organisation remains aligned with evolving regulatory frameworks and government policies
Promote the company’s position within key automotive industry policy discussions

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Economics, or related field
Current experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or Stakeholder Engagement
Experience within the Automotive industry, Manufacturing, or OEM environment highly advantageous
Experience engaging with government departments, regulators, and industry bodies
