Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Government Relations and External Affairs strategy
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on relevant legislation, regulatory developments, and policy changes
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with government stakeholders, policymakers, and industry associations
  • Represent the company in industry forums, working groups, and public hearings
  • Provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements, policy developments, and potential risks
  • Manage the Government Relations budget and oversee engagement initiatives
  • Support crisis management and reputation management where government engagement is required
  • Contribute to localisation strategies, investment plans, and industry development initiatives
  • Ensure the organisation remains aligned with evolving regulatory frameworks and government policies
  • Promote the company’s position within key automotive industry policy discussions

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Economics, or related field
  • Current experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or Stakeholder Engagement
  • Experience within the Automotive industry, Manufacturing, or OEM environment highly advantageous
  • Experience engaging with government departments, regulators, and industry bodies
