Job Description
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Government Relations and External Affairs strategy
- Monitor, analyse, and report on relevant legislation, regulatory developments, and policy changes
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with government stakeholders, policymakers, and industry associations
- Represent the company in industry forums, working groups, and public hearings
- Provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements, policy developments, and potential risks
- Manage the Government Relations budget and oversee engagement initiatives
- Support crisis management and reputation management where government engagement is required
- Contribute to localisation strategies, investment plans, and industry development initiatives
- Ensure the organisation remains aligned with evolving regulatory frameworks and government policies
- Promote the company’s position within key automotive industry policy discussions
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Economics, or related field
- Current experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or Stakeholder Engagement
- Experience within the Automotive industry, Manufacturing, or OEM environment highly advantageous
- Experience engaging with government departments, regulators, and industry bodies
