About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Truck Technician to join our client’s reputable dealership/workshop in Western Cape, where you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services on commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- General servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
- Conduct diagnostics and advanced fault finding on diesel engines, electrical and mechanical systems
- Repair and replace components including engines, gearboxes, braking systems, suspension, and hydraulics
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Complete job cards accurately and maintain detailed service records
- Adhere to manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures
Requirements
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with a Trade Certificate
- Mechanical or Diesel Engineering qualification would be advantageous
- Must have 4 to 5 years experience as a Commercial Truck Technician
- Experience working on brands such as Volvo, Scania, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Isuzu, Hino, etc.
- Experience within a corporate commercial vehicle dealership or truck workshop
- Valid SA Drivers License (Code 14 advantageous) and clear criminal record
- Solid track record with contactable references
