Job Description
The ideal candidate will have professional experience in architecture, with a strong background in project management. Key Responsibilities:
Manage projects from Stage 1 through to Stage 6 (with a focus on Stage 4-6)
Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Provide architectural leadership, including design, documentation, and project execution
Act as Principal Agent where necessary, ensuring smooth communication and coordination with all stakeholders
Work closely with the client, contractors, and other consultants to ensure the highest quality of work
Produce accurate technical drawings, specifications, and project plans
Handle project reporting, site meetings, and liaise with authorities as required
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards
Maintain high levels of client communication and satisfaction throughout the project’s lifecycle
Take responsibility for the delivery of government projects
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Professional registration with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession) is preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural practice
Proven experience managing projects, preferably from Stage 1 to Stage 6, with a strong focus on Stage 4-6
Knowledge of and experience with government projects (advantageous)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Experience as a Principle Agent is beneficial
Excellent proficiency in English (first language, non-negotiable)
Key Skills:
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
