About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking an experienced Backend Data Engineer in Cape Town (Hybrid) to collaborate with cross-functional teams, define system requirements, and deliver high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, design solutions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
- Advocate for best practices in Data processing and API designs, systems architectures, automation, and system scalability.
- Proactively problem-solve and anticipate potential issues before they escalate.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Experience in backend technologies (e.g., Flask or Django) would be a plus
- Experience in Big Data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, Data Lakes, OLAP databases.
- A good understanding of network operations, cloud services, and system security measures
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they escalate.
