About the Role
Liham Consulting Pty (Ltd) is seeking a Battery & Charger Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for ensuring that warranty and associated technical issues are dealt with in a professional, courteous, and timeous manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring maintenance of tools, equipment, and products while in testing phases
- Collecting and/or delivering product to client where applicable
- Maintaining an effective Public Relations profile with regard to the company
- Handling warranty processes and testing from initial collection and paperwork management through to final client resolution
- Ensuring smooth daily running of warranty-related tasks
- Handling returns within allocated time frames
- Preventing abuse of products by ensuring client knowledge levels are satisfactory
- Analysis and processing of faults within stipulated time frames and procedures
- Maintenance of tooling and equipment
- Advising management of defective equipment and ensuring repair or replacement of same
- Maintaining product in bulk stores at optimum usage level
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Minimum 3 years proven working experience
- Ability to use battery and electronic testing instruments, voltage recording, diagnostic machinery, and surface mount repair where applicable to bench technician level
- Ability to learn about charging system parameters and solar configurators
- Ability to learn about different battery and charging system technologies
