Job Description
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team in Cape Town.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. You will also collaborate with other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, as well as handle any inquiries related to financial matters.
This is a 1-month probation / shadow period of 2.5 days a week from 1 – 31 May 2024. 1 month contract of 3 days/week (spread over the entire week) after this which will be renewed every 2 months depending on performance. *you will be required for a full time period at the same rate below during the Festival period – +/- 3 – 30 June
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process and reconcile bank transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Provide support for auditors and tax preparation
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
