About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance with architectural projects, as well as performing general office administration tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- General office administration
- Concept designing and assisting with this when necessary
- Drawing up concept and sketch plans once designing is complete
- Completing project documentation with regards to council drawings
- Providing service coordination where needed
- Assisting with tender documentation and administration
- Liaising with clients and consultants regarding projects, designs, and documentation
- Attending site and technical meetings and providing feedback where necessary
- Handling and drafting surveys, inspections, as well as site visits
- Verbal communication and providing written reports on dedicated projects
- Completion and submittance of Local Authority Submissions for approval of building plans
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate
- Qualified and registered Architectural Technologist (must be registered with SACAP)
- Minimum 2.5 years experience in residential, residential development, commercial, and industrial architecture (excluding Internship period)
- Thorough proficiency in CADDIE, AUTO CAD, REVIT & AUTO DESK
- Thorough proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent technical detailing ability
- Understanding of SANS 10400 and its application in the industry
- Ability to work with SketchUp or Corral Draw (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Contract Administration (JBCC and Procsa) (advantageous)
- Valid Drivers license
