About the Role
Our client in the retail sector is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Manager to join their team. With over 30 years of history and almost 50 stores nationwide, this organisation offers a unique opportunity for an individual looking to transition into a commercially focused role within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, year-end, and management reporting, ensuring accurate financial records
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements
- Oversee inventory, creditors, debtors, and intercompany accounting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Identify and implement process improvements and system efficiencies
- Provide financial input on business projects and strategic initiatives
