Tsogo Sun Digital is looking for a Creative Lead to lead our in-house creative team and help shape the next phase of our creative capability. We are a digital business at our core, operating in one of the fastest-moving and most competitive categories in the market. That means the role is deeply rooted in the online world – digital campaigns, landing pages, CRM, paid media, display, product journeys, content, conversion, optimisation and customer attention. Our brands also show up across retail and real-world touchpoints, but the centre of gravity is digital, performance-driven and always live. Were looking for a Creative Lead who will manage a team of creatives across design and copy, and take ownership of the quality, consistency and effectiveness of the teams output. Youll work closely with a Traffic Manager or Studio Manager on workflow and prioritisation, but youll be responsible for the creative direction, coaching, team development and output standard of the function. This role is for someone who understands that strong creative is not just beautiful – it is useful, persuasive and effective. Someone who wants to understand the customer, work closely with CRM, paid media and digital teams, learn from campaign data, and keep sharpening creative so it drives better engagement, better journeys and better conversion. Examples of what youll work on Leading and managing a team of creatives, including designers and copywriters Taking ownership of the quality, consistency and commercial effectiveness of the teams output Setting creative, visual and where relevant messaging direction across campaigns and day-to-day briefs Helping evolve and strengthen visual identity, creative systems and CI across digital and broader brand touchpoints Raising the teams standard across web, landing pages, banners, social creative, CRM, promotional content, motion and campaign rollouts Driving stronger UX and UI thinking into digital creative, with a focus on clarity, hierarchy, conversion and customer flow Working closely with CRM specialists, paid media managers and marketers to understand what creative is performing, why it is working, and where optimisation opportunities exist Using testing, performance feedback and customer behaviour to improve layouts, messaging approaches, design systems and creative decision-making over time Helping the team adopt better tools, stronger workflows and practical AI applications to improve speed, quality and scalability Leading a digital-first creative environment while also ensuring strong execution across selected real-world and omnichannel brand touchpoints such as venues, events, POS and OOH What were looking for 6 to 8 years in a senior design, digital design, motion or creative lead role Experience leading or managing a team of creatives Strong digital design capability and excellent visual judgement Strong instincts for UX, UI and digital best practice in customer-facing environments Confidence providing creative direction, art direction and coaching to creative talent Strong understanding of how creative influences attention, engagement, conversion and action Fluency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and modern creative workflows Practical understanding of how AI can improve speed, quality, production scale and creative experimentation Experience working with campaign performance data, testing outputs and optimisation feedback loops Experience in online gaming, sports betting or a similarly fast, promotional consumer category is a plus Why this role is exciting Youll lead and shape a growing creative team at Tsogo Sun Digital Youll join a fast-growing digital business in a fast-moving category Youll have the chance to make a visible impact on both the work and the team producing it Youll help shape a creative culture that is both creatively strong and commercially sharp Youll work in an environment where ideas move fast, the output is visible and there is real room to make your mark Youll combine the energy of a scaling digital team with the backing of a trusted, established brand If youre ready to lead a team, raise the standard and build creative that performs in the real world – not just on a mood board – wed love to hear from you.
