About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our electrical engineering team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the full engineering lifecycle, from concept design through to implementation and commissioning. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will enable you to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency within the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers
Oversee the full engineering lifecycle, from concept design through to implementation and commissioning
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes, and quality systems
Provide technical governance, design approval, and risk management across projects
Collaborate with project management, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery

Requirements

BEng Electrical Engineering (essential)
Professionally registered or eligible for registration (advantageous)
Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering leadership role
Strong background in electrical engineering projects, preferably within power generation, substations, or industrial environments
Demonstrated ability to manage teams, budgets, and multiple projects concurrently
