About the Role
A well-known hospitality firm based in Cape Town is seeking an Events Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience in the entertainment industry and a passion for delivering exceptional events. As an Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing events from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Brainstorming with management, defining event goals, creating event proposals, and developing backup plans.
- Researching and booking venues, vendors (catering, decor, AV), and entertainment; managing event flow and schedules.
- Developing budgets, monitoring expenses, processing invoices and handling payments.
- Meeting with clients to understand needs, serving as the primary contact, and negotiating contracts.
- Overseeing event setup, day-of operations, staff coordination, and breakdown.
- Promoting events, managing registration and communicating with attendees (may include).
Requirements
- Grade 12 Diploma in Marketing
- 3+ years experience in the entertainment industry
- Exposure to the gaming industry is preferred
