Full-Stack JavaScript Developer (Telecom Systems) Join a dynamic team driving innovation in telecom systems development Cape Town (Office-based) | R60 000 to R80 000 per month | Full-time About Our Client Our client is a forward-thinking technology company specializing in telecom systems and solutions. With a strong focus on innovation and technical excellence, they design and develop advanced platforms that support communication infrastructure and connectivity. The Role: Full-Stack JavaScript Developer (Telecom Systems) This role involves developing and maintaining full-stack applications tailored for telecom systems. The successful candidate will work on backend and frontend systems, build and consume APIs, and integrate with telecom technologies like Asterisk and FreePBX. You will be joining a team that thrives on technical challenges and continuous innovation. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain full-stack applications for telecom systems Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs Work with technologies including JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Sails.js, and AngularJS Integrate and troubleshoot telecom systems such as Asterisk and FreePBX Collaborate with team members to plan, deliver, and review new features Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards Quickly adapt to new frameworks, tools, and technologies as required About You 3 years of experience in full-stack JavaScript development Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6), Git, Docker, REST APIs, SQL, Linux, WebSockets Backend experience with Sails.js (or Express.js), PostgreSQL (including JSON data), RESTful APIs, GraphQL (advantageous) Frontend experience with AngularJS ( Practical knowledge of telecom systems: Asterisk, FreePBX, PHP, MySQL Fast learner with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Good communication skills and attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Bonus: Exposure to or interest in AI technologies
