EXTERNAL VACANCY: HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN First Fit Shopfitters is a fast-growing company offering shopfitting service and quality products which includes designing, manufacturing and turnkey operations to the S.A. Retail & Pharmaceutical Retail industry. The Company is searching for a competent HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN who can join our dynamic and skilled team in maintaining and managing our human resources processes. The prerequisites for the position are as follows; – National diploma or certificate in Human Resources. – Previous experience as a HR Intern – at least 6months to a 1 year. – More than 1 year will be advantageous – Basic knowledge of HR processes, labour laws and legislation. – Bi Lingual (English & Afrikaans) – Excellent communication skills. – Listening skills – Administration skills – Organization skills The responsibilities for position will include, but not limited to; • Assist in the Recruitment Process including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, including assessments and integration of scoring. • Assist in updating and controlling the Time and Attendance System in ensuring clockings are correctly reflecting, method of the calculation of hours are correct and capturing of overtime sheets where applicable. • Assist in completing and submitting Cape Town and Johannesburg Payroll Summary Reports on a Bi Weekly basis and capturing payslips via SAGE VIP Payroll System. • Address all staff related Pay Queries and explain accordingly. • Assist in completing and submitting Monthly Building Industry Bargaining Council and Furniture Bargaining Council Detailed Returns and Validation Reports respectively, including Union Subscriptions. • Effectively handling Conflict Resolution and resolving disputes. • Assist in ensuring all employees adhere to Disciplinary Code. • Onboarding all new employees in terms of the business policies, values, and culture. • Organize, updating, controlling, and managing all employees file data in terms of the employee HR Life Cycle. • Ensuring all HR data is analyzed and proof read before capturing. • Generating HR Reports and updating HR Statistics on a weekly basis. • Coordinate Employee Recognition Activities such staff incentives and or awards. • Ensure compliance with all Acts and Legislation in terms of Labour Laws. • Assist Legal with compliance and standard audits. Qualifying Attributes needs to include; – Able to make fast and sound decisions. – Ability to work well under pressure – Display a professional work approach – Ability to work independently and within a team – Commitment to a strong business ethic and integrity
