About the Role
We are seeking a highly operational Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at our Durbanville Facility. As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with management, supervisors, and union representatives to ensure discipline, attendance, productivity, and compliance are consistently managed in line with operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support
- Manage employee relations matters including misconduct, poor performance, incapacity, and absenteeism
- Lead disciplinary processes from investigation through to hearings and CCMA preparation
- Maintain ongoing engagement with trade unions and shop stewards
- Support shift structures, workforce planning, and staffing aligned to production and logistical schedules
- Monitor attendance, overtime, and leave trends
- Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and collective agreements
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in an operational HR role
- Proven experience in a unionised, shift-based environment
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and disciplinary processes
- Confident facilitator of disciplinary hearings and union engagements
