About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Administrator to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and relevant information to both potential and existing clients regarding policy covers, terms, and conditions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional engagement
  • Ensure adherence to company Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Portfolio Management
  • Liaise with Brokers, Insurers, and Suppliers
  • Process quotes, new business, renewals, and endorsements
  • Maintain accurate records, manage files, and oversee correspondence and diary systems
  • Insurance & Underwriting Support
  • Review and assess insurance products and proposals
  • Conduct risk assessments using statistical and actuarial data
  • Determine competitive premiums and negotiate terms with Brokers and Insurers
  • Apply appropriate conditions to policies
  • Maintain detailed records of underwriting decisions
  • Financial Administration
  • Manage credit control across client portfolios
  • Support the growth of administration fee income

Requirements

  • FAIS Compliant (relevant qualification and RE Exam completed)
  • Class of Business Training (where applicable)
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the insurance industry

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Insurance or related field
