About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled software engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a full-stack developer with expertise in Angular, TypeScript, ASP.NET Core, and MS SQL, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and deploying front- and back-end software. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a challenging project and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and deploy front- and back-end software (Angular / NET Core / SQL Server)
- Collaborate with QA, Junior Developers, Technical Lead and the CEO
- Monitor reliability, performance, and consistently meet sprint targets
- Review code, mentor juniors, and document decisions
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and regular agile ceremonies
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term, scalable solutions
- Contribute to improving system architecture, performance, and security
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability
- Ensure technical documentation is clear, updated, and accessible
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and propose technical improvements
- Continuously explore and adopt new tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance the product
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or a related field with strong computing fundamentals. Minimum of 2 yearsâ experience in a professional environment. Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, ASP.NET Core, and MS SQL. Solid understanding of software testing practices (unit and integration testing). Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality code consistently. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
