Job Description

Location: Bloubergstrand, Cape Town A well-established and modern medical practice in Bloubergstrand is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients while ensuring the smooth, professional running of the practice. Key Responsibilities Managing front-desk operations, switchboard, WhatsApp, and practice emails Scheduling and confirming appointments with 100% accuracy Maintaining accurate patient records and digital files Managing patient intake, consent forms, and follow-up communication Coordinating patient aftercare communication and engagement Maintaining a welcoming and professional reception environment Supporting basic marketing activities (broadcasts, promotions, WhatsApp status updates) Ensuring confidentiality and POPIA-compliant handling of patient information Minimum Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist Knowledge of medical aid processes and patient billing Strong administrative and organisational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Comfortable working with digital systems and online diaries Professional appearance and patient-focused mindset
