Job Summary

Join a dynamic team in the logistics industry as a New Business Development Consultant, based in vibrant Cape Town. This exciting role is perfect for a results-driven professional with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Our client is looking for a proactive, experienced individual ready to make a meaningful impact. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead Generation: Identify potential clients in target markets through research and networking. Develop a robust sales pipeline to achieve set targets. Cold call, schedule appointments, and meet with prospective clients to introduce the company’s services. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries during the onboarding process. Understand client needs to provide customized logistics solutions. Sales Strategy and Execution: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. Negotiate pricing and service terms to secure contracts aligned with company objectives. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities. Provide feedback to management on market conditions and customer preferences. Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales activities in the CRM system. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications and Skills: Matric Certificate; Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or transport sector. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Key Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Persuasive negotiation and presentation abilities. Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
