About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join our Warehouse Stock Control Team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of inventory and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Warehouse Stock Control Team through the process of counting and recording inventory.
  • Responsible for actual inventory counts, knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, counting procedures used, and location of all inventories.
  • Ensure a high degree of accuracy of the location and unit counts of all inventory items and adequate security and protection of such items.
  • Coordinate and process returns in a timely manner.
  • Identify customer orders and keep control over customer inventory.
  • Develop and maintain the Master inventory count list.
  • Process and maintain records of all inventories, investigate discrepancies and shortages.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed information on the inventory control system.
  • Process damaged and spoiled product returns from customers and/or suppliers.
  • Report inaccuracies or damages to the line manager.
  • Look for improvements in stock levels and transfers.
  • Responsible for Warehouse Administration.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Requirements

  • Matric and/or relevant diploma or degree.
  • 3 – 5 years proven experience in stock control and inventory management.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting abilities.
