About the Role
As a Retail Shopping Centre Property Manager in Cape Town City Centre, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our shopping centre properties. This involves establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with tenants, managing personnel, contractors, repairs, and revamps, while contributing to the development and training of staff within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the vacancy list and marketing plan for Space & Renewals (30%)
- Handle lease negotiations and secure sustainable income streams
- Ensure accurate contract administration and timely tenant installations
- Monitor and address outstanding renewals
- Supervise service contracts, inspections, tenant installations, and maintenance under Property Management (10%)
- Contribute to budgeting, manage income and expenses, oversee energy management, and monitor expenses under Budgeting & Expense Control (40%)
- Facilitate communication between tenants, clients, brokers, and the public as part of Liaison (20%)
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12
- A business property-related tertiary qualification is preferred
- Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)
- Compliance in terms of the education requirements with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA)
- At least 5 – 7 years of Retail Shopping Centre experience in property/centre management industry
