About the Role
As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of running a store to ensure that sales targets are achieved, costs are controlled, employees are managed, and excellent levels of customer care and service are always delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of all store aspects ensuring effective trading, adequate staffing, and meeting customer needs.
- Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints as appropriate.
- Managing employees including motivation, recruitment, attendance, welfare, training, and development according to company policies and employment laws.
- Liaising with the Line Manager and HR department regarding employee issues and informing them of any employee changes.
- Planning, driving, and reporting on store sales, costs, and business performance according to company requirements.
- Following the pricing policy set by the Company and implementing price changes when notified.
- Liaising with the retail marketing team to plan, implement, and advertise local marketing events.
- Ensuring in-store displays and product merchandising meet the Company’s Visual Merchandising standards and guidelines.
- Managing cash and payment systems in-store according to company procedures and policies at all times.
- Prioritizing employee and customer safety above all else.
- Completing store administration and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Planning and implementing shop merchandising, layout, and customer traffic flow to maximise sales, customer satisfaction, appearance, and brand image while observing health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Two years’ experience in a Retail or Customer-Focused environment with Line Management responsibilities.
- Experience driving retail sales and standards of customer service.
- Working for a quality brand in a retail environment.
