Job Description

REQUIREMENTS Right of appearance in the High Court Exposure to Banking Law and National Credit Act matters 35 years post-qualification experience (PQE) Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 200 matters Ability to independently run High Court matters nationally Experience in defended/opposed litigation and trial work Exposure to insolvency matters (opposed and unopposed) Strong administrative and organisational skills Ability to work independently and lead a sub-department Qualified Conveyancer (advantageous but not essential) DUTIES Managing and overseeing a high-volume High Court litigation portfolio Handling defended and opposed matters from inception through to trial Drafting pleadings, notices, affidavits and legal opinions Appearing in the High Court where required Managing national litigation matters in banking and credit law Overseeing insolvency-related proceedings (opposed and unopposed) Supervising and mentoring support staff, including two secretaries and a candidate attorney Ensuring strict compliance with court rules and procedural timelines Maintaining strong administrative controls and accurate file management Salary negotiable dependent on experience Join us on SOCIAL MEDIA or visit our WEBSITE for more information.
