About the Role
As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer in Cape Town City Centre, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our infrastructure and automation efforts to achieve cloud-native excellence. You will work closely with development teams to shape architecture, strengthen reliability, and level up deployments, ensuring that our platforms are battle-ready for any challenge that comes their way.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide raw potential through each evolutionary stage of infrastructure, automation, and reliability
- Transform solid foundations into cloudânative champions by fighting latency, outages, and manual toil
- Level up deployments and strengthen reliability alongside development teams
- Coordinate with teams like a well-trained squad to achieve common goals
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues under pressure
Requirements
- Strong experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Choosing the right environment like a seasoned trainer picks their strongest starter
- Handsâon expertise with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Solid knowledge of containerisation with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
- Good understanding of monitoring, logging, and performance tuning
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues under pressure
