About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our client’s team in Cape Town City Centre. As a detail-driven professional, you will take ownership of financial operations and oversee payments in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Accountant to manage financial operations.
Prepare and manage annual budgets in alignment with business objectives.
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and financial projections.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable while managing and authorising supplier payments.
Perform monthly bookkeeping to trial balance and prepare management accounts.
Monitor financial performance to highlight risks or opportunities.
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Assist with process improvements and support operational teams with reporting.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Accountant.
Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-moving business.

Salary & Benefits

R30,000 – R45,000 per month.
