About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for leading mechanical design projects and driving innovation. As a key member of our product development team, you will be involved in designing products from first principles and improving existing ranges.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct 3D CAD model designs and presentations to clients
Prepare manufacturing and supplier part drawings
Manage and support day-to-day design activities
Provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements
Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing
Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the most effective and economical use of materials and manufacturing processes
Interface with Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 7 years of design experience
Ability to plan and execute project plans
Innovative and self-driven approach to problem-solving
Hands-on approach to problem-solving
Readily able to adjust to changing priorities
Objective-oriented, setting goals and meeting deadlines

B Eng. / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
