About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Front End Engineer to join our technology team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our front-end development team, you will be responsible for managing the front-end development of applications, ensuring alignment with user needs. This role requires a solid understanding and hands-on experience of Angular 8, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap 3, JavaScript, among other technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes to code
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Work with back-end developers to integrate system RESTful API
- Manage the front-end development of applications, ensuring alignment with user needs
Requirements
- 5 years overall relevant experience in front-end development
- Responsive web design
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience of Angular 8, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap 3, JavaScript
- Proficient with Git
- Experience in Financial Services or Banking industry
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma)
- Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS (SCSS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Computer Science
