About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front End Engineer to join our technology team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our front-end development team, you will be responsible for managing the front-end development of applications, ensuring alignment with user needs. This role requires a solid understanding and hands-on experience of Angular 8, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap 3, JavaScript, among other technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
Translate UI/UX design wireframes to code
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Work with back-end developers to integrate system RESTful API
Manage the front-end development of applications, ensuring alignment with user needs

Requirements

5 years overall relevant experience in front-end development
Responsive web design
Solid understanding and hands-on experience of Angular 8, HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap 3, JavaScript
Proficient with Git
Experience in Financial Services or Banking industry
Experience working in an agile environment
Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma)
Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS (SCSS)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Computer Science
