About the Role
As a Senior Import Coordinator in our Cape Town City Centre office, you will play a crucial role in supporting the import and export of products to ensure efficient and successful foreign trade operations. Your expertise will contribute to timely deliveries, effective logistics operations, and the overall functioning of our foreign trade department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with customs clearance procedures and regulatory requirements in South Africa
- Coordinate shipments through clearing agents, shipping lines, and relevant authorities
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth international logistics operations
- Proactively address shipment delays or issues
- Assist with shipment planning
- Monitor shipment status
- Track containers
- Report on shipment progress
Requirements
- Matric
- At least 5 years of experience in imports and/or exports
- Solid background in import and export coordination
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (advantageous)
