About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Key Accounts) to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth and margin expansion within assigned key accounts by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic account plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue and margin within assigned key accounts by expanding into new departments, contacts, and business units
- Develop and execute structured account growth plans with clear targets and weekly accountability
- Build and maintain multi-level relationships across procurement, technical, operations, and executive stakeholders
- Position the business as a strategic solutions partner, leveraging technology-driven tools and insights
- Maintain disciplined CRM usage: accurate logging of all interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including operations, warehouse, and finance to ensure seamless customer delivery
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the broader ICT aftermarket
- Provide ongoing market intelligence including competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer feedback
- Represent the business at industry events, customer meetings, and supplier engagements with professionalism and authority
Requirements
- 10+ years B2B sales or key account management experience
- Proven track record of growing revenue within existing accounts (not only maintaining them)
- Experience working with large, complex organisations (e.g. service providers, resellers, enterprise clients)
- Strong understanding of solution-based or technical sales environments (ICT distribution or similar advantageous)
