Cape Town City Centre: SHE Assistant

Our client is looking for a SHE Assistant to join their manufacturing team based in Epping. Requirements: • At least 2 years’ experience in a SHE manufacturing environment • SAMTRAC qualification / MSRM qualification or similar essential • Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner Qualification or similar • Good understanding of EHS regulations and policies • Internal Auditor qualifications/experience • Excellent Computer skills e.g Word and Excel • Must be able to conduct training • Good communication skills • Must be proactive, responsible and reliable • Good administrative skills, filing and attention to detail ensuring accurate and meticulous management of all SHE related documentation MATRIC KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Support ISO14001 & ISO 45001 Standards & assist ensuring strict compliance • Manage and conduct SHE related training/Inductions as required • Ensure inspections, audits, tests & surveys to be carried out as per procedure • Management of Contractors and ensure compliance of all Mpact & legal procedures • Ensure Permit & Chemical Control files updated timeously • Capture monthly SHE stats on Mpress and ensure accuracy • Record and update SHE incident register • Manage BBS System: VFL/PO/Barriers identification and close out Management • PPE & Safety Equipment compliance • Provide support to Safety Committee • Co-ordinating Waste leaving site
