Job Summary
We`re seeking an experienced Solution Architect to select and implement a group-wide HR platform, including the transition and decommissioning of multiple existing systems. The ideal candidate would need to have previous experience in the implementation of HR platforms, with a strong understanding of their intricacies and the overall ecosystem, at an enterprise level. Please note, this is an initial 6 month contract, with possibility for renewal. What you’ll do: Architectural Design: Develop and document high-level architecture designs and detailed technical specifications for new HRIS system, including multiple integrations across various business units. Technology Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables. Support in the selection and implementation of a group-wide HRIS platform, including the transition and decommissioning of existing systems across the group Solution Implementation: Oversee the implementation of new HRIS solution from conception through deployment, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business goals. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to understand requirements, provide recommendations, and ensure successful implementation. Problem Solving: Identify potential technical issues and develop strategies to resolve them effectively and efficiently. Vendor Management: Work closely with implementation partner for HRIS solution, to ensure high standards of code quality and system performance. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, solution implementations, and best practices. Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in architectural practices. Feasibility: Conduct technical feasibility studies and provide recommendations Your expertise: Experience: 15 years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or a related Field, particularly in migrating multiple Must have previous experience in the implementation of HR platforms, with a strong understanding of their intricacies and overall ecosystem Strong knowledge of data translation (internal schema’s) into or out of existing/new HRIS/ HR systems and integration patterns Understanding data protection employee sensitive data – encryption, etc Industry experience in financial services preferred Experience with cloud platforms. (e.g., AWS, Azure) Personal attributes: Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide technical teams and influence stakeholders Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing effective solutions to complex technical challenges Other information applicable to the opportunity: Contract Position : 6 Months Location : Preferably in Cape Town, but open to remote Why work for us?
